Head Personal Trainer

Position: Head Personal Trainer

Reports To: Club Manager

Job Summary:  Your role will primarily revolve around personal training, hiring, and training new personal trainers. You will also be responsible for teaching and evaluating your trainers’ performance. In doing so, you will provide feedback on your trainers’ professionalism, service, clients, and personal training skills as part of that continuous evaluation.

Therefore, you must typically act as a personal trainer to a client base as well. You will design fitness programs at the club not only for your own clients, but you must also initiate, support, and direct programs for all of your personal trainers to undertake as well. You must have a thorough understanding of your staff and clients’ needs, and comprehensive knowledge of how to use all gym equipment. You will conduct evaluations of both the programs that you have designed and those that your team uses for their clients. Your other main role will be specific club goals, like selling personal training packages to clients or focusing on customer service and client retention.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of Physical Therapy, Sports Science, and other medical related courses
  • 5+ years personal fitness training
  • High energy & a passion for fitness
  • Self-motivated & able to work independently
  • Positive & outgoing, able to connect with people on an emotional level
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
